Clearly, vocabulary teaching and learning did not receive enough and adequate importance as it should, sometimes even without considering the useful advantage in developing an extensive vocabulary. Nowadays for a great number of English teachers one of the biggest challenges is teaching new English vocabulary to very young children at the transition level 3- 5. Among the reasons that emerge are included the following: English Language is not the mother tongue or is not deemed as a second language to learn, the children’s motivation is not the best towards the language, and finally the technique used to teach is not the most appropriate in relation to the children’s needs. “Realia” is seems as an appealing and useful technique, the presentation of new vocabulary is introduced with real objects into the classroom.
