It is imperative that english teachers search tools and methods that help them to catch students ́ attention and motivate them to develop this skill. Grabe and Kaplan see writing as “a technology, a set of skills, which must be practiced and learned through experiences” That means that the writing process is a skill that learners have to develop through their experiences in their whole life. Some studies have shown that this process could be developed by different techniques, one of them is free writing, Elbow, defines free writing as “a discovery or prewriting strategy intended to encourage the development of ideas without concerning for the conventional rules of writing”. In other words, learners have the freedom to write what they think or what they want to express without rules, just write their thoughts that come to their minds, having a general idea of what they want to write and develop it in their own words. All this process is followed by a collaborative learning. Barkley, Cross & Howell claim that collaborative learning increase the power of independence among peers”.pdfspaHUMANIDADES Y CIENCIAS DE LA CONDUCTAInglés--Estudio y enseñanzaAdquisición de segunda lenguaSemánticaRedes sociales en líneaSocial networks: a useful tool to enhance the writing skill in ELT studentsTesis de licenciaturaopenAccess
