In order to accomplish this purpose, the following research questions were formulated: Which factors influence LEI students when choosing a language course at CELE? What reasons did the participants have to change a language course for another one at CELE? The methodology used in this research study was qualitative case study. The participants were 4 males and 3 females whose ages ranged from 21 to 23 years old. Two different sources of information were used in data collection: a questionnaire and an individual interview. According to the answers provided by the participants, the factors that influenced them when choosing a language course at CELE were: a) interest in learning a foreign language, b) schedule, c) classmate’s recommendation, d) teacher, and e) ease of the language. With reference to the reasons that participants had to change their language courses at CELE, these were: a) lack of time, b) teaching method, c) difficult (sub) skills, and d) teacher. With these answers, the purpose of the study was successfully accomplished."engHUMANIDADES Y CIENCIAS DE LA CONDUVTAInglés--Estudio y enseñanzaAdquisición de segunda lenguaInglés--LecturasEvaluación educativaDeserción escolarReasons why lei students do not finish cele foreign language courses at Facultad de Lenguas_BUAPTesis de licenciaturaopenAccess
