Communication is vital in every situation, and everyone needs to communicate. However, for English students, these skills tend to be more complicated than writing and reading due to different circumstances such as cultural differences, accent, quality of listening, inhibition, or mother tongue use. This study intends to demonstrate the strategies LEI students use at the Faculty of Languages to enhance their listening and speaking skills. The participants were 80: 38 women, 36 men, and 6 others. Their ages were between 17 to 28 years old. The results are that English students attempt to learn techniques to become better listeners, they pay attention and note down what is written on the blackboard, or another source teachers use in classes.
