In this context, the need to develop effective methods for teaching vocabulary, particularly English phrasal verbs, is highlighted. Traditional teaching approaches, such as memorizing word lists, often prove ineffective, as students fail to retain vocabulary in meaningful contexts. This research proposes the use of meaningful images taken from social media as a tool to facilitate vocabulary acquisition in a more accessible and less stressful environment. It is argued that learning phrasal verbs through images can provide a rich context, similar to what native speakers experience in their everyday environment. By focusing on the development of visual strategies and the creation of authentic materials, the aim is to enhance vocabulary retention and comprehension among English learners, thereby optimizing their learning process in a virtual classroom".pdfengHUMANIDADES Y CIENCIAS DE LA CONDUCTAFilología y lengua inglesa--Inglés moderno--Lengua--Estudio y enseñanza--Instrucción audiovisualFilología y lengua inglesa--Inglés moderno--Lengua--Gramática--Partes del discurso (Morfología y sintaxis)--Verbo--OtrosInglés--Estudio y enseñanza (Superior)--Hablantes extranjerosEstrategias de aprendizajeInglés--Estudio y enseñanza--Auxiliares audiovisualesInglés--Frase verbalUsage of significant images found in social networks when learning phrasal verbs by target language 4 students at LEI–BUAPTesis de licenciaturaopenAccess
