The research was conducted in a public university and it was addressed to female students that just started the first semester. The study incorporated the influenced of role models around the participants. The methodology of the research was achieved by narrative inquiry where data was gathered by participants’ narratives related to the focus of the research. Findings revealed that most of participants are studying English because English language has become the language of empowerment in education and it will open doors in their professional lives.
