The data collected was from 13 students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in teaching English from the Faculty of Languages, BUAP. The participants were 21 and 30 years old. A descriptive qualitative method was used to answer the research questions. As a result, online classes were negatively affected during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results indicated that students prefer face-to-face classes to online classes. In addition, these results showed that students feel more comfortable and motivated with courses within the school classroom with a teacher in front of the group because there is more significant interaction between teacher and student. Thus, learning turns out to be more effective. Therefore, it is suggested to continue with this study because ways to increase positive interaction between teachers and students during online classes could be investigated so that teachers improve and students develop academically more effectively; this could be done with a mixed study in which both students and teachers participate”.pdfengHUMANIDADES Y CIENCIAS DE LA CONDUCTAAspectos públicos de la medicina--Salud pública--Enfermedades transmisibles y salud pública--Otras enfermedades transmisibles--COVID-19Filología y lengua inglesa--Inglés moderno--Lengua--Estudio y enseñanzaTeoría y práctica de la educación--Enseñanza (Principios y práctica)--Tecnología educativaEducación a distancia--Estudio de casosEstudiantes--ActitudesLEI student perceptions about the English language learning experiences in online classes during the confinement caused by the COVID-19 pandemicTesis de licenciaturaopenAccess
