These are people that, after being struck by lightning, begin a new life as healers and rain propitiators. Having received this heaven sent gift, which marks their destiny, these rayados are able to cure sick people in their communities through the interpretation of oneiric messages and visions induced by the ritual consumption of psychoactive plants. This paper presents the case of Mr. Angelino Calderón, from the town of Hueyapan, Morelos, located on the southern hillside of the Popocatépetl volcano.application/pdfScripta EthnologicaAntropologíaShamanic practicesCentral Mexicooneiric messagesINICIACIÓN DE UN CURANDERO GOLPEADO POR EL RAYOArtículo científico
