Magic-religious ceremonies with the purpose of propitiating rain and controlling the weather for the benefit of the crops are being practiced in some Mexico's Central Tablelands volcanoes. Specialists in the meteorological control perform these ceremonies; they are de shamans that have received "a sign" from heaven. The ritual performance is supported by the specialist dreams. Dreams base ritual activities during the entire lives of the specialists. In this paper I focus on a comparison between different initiation forms of these "Weather Workers".
