"The way of using media has changed drastically with the rapid technological advancement, so now there is rapid and effective access to the use of authentic audio-visual materials from different parts of the world on different streaming platforms, making this material arouse the interest to learn in an entertaining and effective way. This research aims to explore and classify the cultural and language knowledge that students have with the use of different Japanese television programs. The research questions that guide this study are: 1) What differences do participants report between classroom learning and using television programs to learn Japanese? 2) What benefits do participants perceive from using Japanese television programs when learning Japanese? 3) What cultural knowledge do participants report acquiring from watching Japanese television programs? This study used data from a questionnaire with open and closed questions and an interview involving 16 students aged from 23 to 33 years from different CELE groups to better visualize and analyze the participants' responses, graphs and tables were created".
