Abstract
"This study investigates the challenges faced by students at Universidad Interserrana de Chilchotla (UICH) in Puebla, Mexico, in developing listening comprehension skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) contexts. Emphasizing the complexity of the listening skill, the research identifies various factors impacting learners' ability to understand spoken English. By incorporating audiovisual materials in the EFL classroom, the study aims to enhance students' listening comprehension. The findings suggest that audiovisual materials significantly aid in overcoming listening comprehension challenges by providing context and enhancing engagement; highlighting practical strategies for teachers to improve listening skills among learners. It underscores the importance of a multi-sensory approach to language instruction, fostering better comprehension and retention".
