dc.description.abstract | "The research is part of the inter-institutional project: “El Habla de Monterrey-PRESEEA” (Rodríguez, Flores, y Pérez, 2009) whose main objective is to identify, classify and interpret the mitigating strategies used by men and women with the same social status and level of education, but different age range (20-24, 35-54, ≥ 55) from Monterrey, Mexico when performing assertive acts. In order to do this, we need to recognize, within the interviews, the assertive acts. Then, based on the categories proposed by Albelda and Cestero (2011) and Briz (2010) we will classify the strategies. Finally, we will analyze the results and compare and contrast the groups, pointing out the differences between them. By doing this research we intend to determine which strategies are used by people who belong to different groups within the same geographic area (Monterrey), when they use them, how much and what are the differences between them." | es_MX |
