dc.description.abstract | “English as the official language of at least of 75 countries, the mother tongue of more than two billion people and the second language of 850 million people has a growing importance in the world today (González, 2008). This implies that there is an increasing need to learn it and in turn to teach it. Thus, English language education has not only grown significantly but has diversified in order to satisfy the necessities of our social environment. The challenges today demand a better teacher education and higher English requirements. Thus, in Mexico there are 25 undergraduate programs in public universities. One of these programs, in the center of Mexico, has an ELT major and receives more than 400 hundred students every year. This is an eight semester undergraduate program, which has 210 to 230 credits. One of this major’s requirements is a level B2 according to the Common European Framework of references. (CEFR). In order to graduate, students have four options, an average of more than 8.5, diploma, convention presentation & publication or presenting a thesis (research project). This research project is developed in two subjects: Research seminar I and II as subjects.” | es_MX |
