dc.description.abstract | “This qualitative study aims to identify what are the main difficulties that prevent ELT students from expressing themselves clearly at the moment of an English public speaking presentation. Therefore, it was conducted through a qualitative approach by using a survey as the instrument to collect data. This data collection would help to answer the following research questions: What are participants' feelings in every stage of an English public speaking presentation (pre, during, after) and how do they evolve? What are the most common physical symptoms during an English public speaking presentation? According to the participants, what are the main difficulties that ELT students have at the moment of performing an English public speaking presentation? The results show that negative feelings and some physical symptoms are a critical factor that has a direct impact on the performance of the participants at the moment of English public speaking presentation. Therefore, this thesis will share the identified participants’ feelings before, during, and after their English public speaking presentation performance. In fact, during the development of this study, it was realized how these feelings evolve through these three stages. Finally, there will be identified, the most common physical symptoms that students suffered when presenting as well.” | es_MX |
