Abstract
“Nowadays, speaking a second language is important in our society even more if this language is english. According to Rahman (n.d) “speaking is a means of communication in expressing ideas, information and feeling to others. It is the most essential way in which the speaker can express himself through a language.” This language is learnt by millions of people who employ this language with the purpose of developing and increasing their social economical status. However, speaking a foreign language is not easy since one of the problems that learners encounter is to learn to pronounce english words correctly. This may be because they are not familiar with phonetic and phonological sounds when they practice or learn the language. Due to the fact that school and english classes are the only opportunities students have to practice english language pronunciation, this study will focus on teachers‟ and students‟ use of pronunciation strategies in a public secondary school classroom”.
