dc.description.abstract"Spanish is the national language of Mexico and serves as a medium of communication and instruction in the country. However, the English language is taught as a subject in secondary and high school education as a foreign language. This educational strategy has an outcome in most students being unable to read or communicate in English, and only a small percentage of them is remarkably proficient in the language, especially at the academic level. Although the system changes when students attend most higher education institutions, they do not fulfill the expectation of comprehending reference texts, which are typically written in English in order to make academic presentations, complete assignments and answer evaluation questions by then. Nonetheless, nowadays, the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and the Word Wide Web have made accessible a wide window to perform and readapt the way students learn".es_MX
