Abstract
"In Mexico, just like in most of the world’s countries where English is learned as a foreign language, one of the major problems EFL learners encounter is the few social and cultural spaces where English can be spoken to practice and improve their speaking skill. For example, learners use their mother tongue with their peers, and students learn mainly based on standardized textbooks in school. Therefore, students may have grammar competence; however, most of the times they are unable to speak English proficiently in real life situations. Currently, in the Mexican context to speak different languages has become a real necessity either for sharing knowledge or a simple idea since different languages have become the basic way to globally communicate for all people."
