Abstract
"Globally, the field of language teaching has expanded rapidly over the past twenty years …this expansion has created a demand for English language teachers and a concomitant need for managers of language teaching organizations. In recent years, some coordination training courses have been created as a result of the evident need to develop ELT coordinators’ competencies (Fowle, 2000). However, when formal training is not available, coordinators can draw on alternative resources in order to develop competencies and avoid isolation as they go through the transition process (Hockley, 2004). This research seeks to explore the experiences that ELT teachers have gone through the process of becoming schools coordinators".
