Tesis de licenciatura La experiencia de revalidar estudios realizados en el extranjero como expresión de discriminación(2015-04) Bautista Blanhir, Roberto Ezequiel“This study addresses issues that concern the life of individuals who need to legitimize their academic development in circumstances frequently outside their control due to emigration flows of modern societies. In doing so it relates the study of Discourse Analysis to the broad topic of Education focusing on aspects that concern the right to continue studies independently of the place where they have been undertaken. The specific purpose of this research is to explore the contextual dimension of social constructs that tend to be interpreted in different manners, and because of these differences, they create confusion and false expectations which in turn lead to frustration and abandonment of professional goals. This research project initiates with the assumption that individuals who wish to revalidate studies (usually in higher level) have proven to have the need, the skills, and the attitude necessary for professional development. These individuals, however, when confronted with the obstacles derived from institutional requirements frequently abandon their pursuit. The results of the study have, to a certain extent, confirmed the stated assumption; however, the study has provided additional insight into the attitude that emerges from the experience of legalization and revalidation of studies done in different countries.”Tesis de licenciatura “La Familia Burrón”: emblem of the mexican culture and language(2015-04) Durán López, Luis Beethoven“This thesis reports a descriptive study of the informal language used by the Mexican comic named “La Familia Burrón”. This study was carried out in Puebla City. The main purpose of my project was to analyze the informal expressions used by this comic and how this language changed or evolved in order to be adapted to the different ages in which “La Familia Burrón” was published. The research data were collected via analysis of some of the different texts published from 1948 to 2009. The research found “La Familia Burrón” has many and different informal synonyms for things and expressions for happenings. This is because the family needed to be portrayed as belonging to and representing a certain Mexican social class who feel more comfortable using non-standard expressions than standard expressions. Findings also revealed some expressions are more popular and common than some others. Also, in the same way there are several non-standard synonyms for a single thing, which makes it impossible the use of all of them. While one aim of the study was to trace the changes in the informal expressions, I could not analyze the evolution of the expressions because of the limitations presented which are described in Chapter 5.”Tesis de licenciatura Research competences for LAEL-I students: a descriptive study(2019-03) Álvarez Tamayo, Dora Ivonne; ALVAREZ TAMAYO, DORA IVONNE; 517571; CINTO MORALES, JOSUE; 374494“From a constructivist perspective, research is inherently related to principles such as lifelong learning skills, learning to learn, and the application of scientific procedures. According to Cerezo (2007), constructivism represents an epistemology oriented to explain the way human beings learn and solve problems, that is, human knowledge, in nature, is inherently linked to previous knowledge. From this perspective, the term knowledge refers to everything available to be in touch with a person in academic or nonacademic environments. The core of this conception is the idea of each student building their knowledge based on concrete experiences and their belief system. Constructivism is also a pedagogical approach supported by philosophy resources – authors such as Bruner, Freire, Piaget and Vygotsky were interested in this way of explaining learning processes. In this order of ideas, research is a systematic process that influences the individual’s transformation. A subject puts his/her intellectual capabilities into and apprehends an object of knowledge, so learning is a multidimensional phenomenon that demands some intellectual activities, for example, information, perception, memory, description, imagination, and thinking (Eyssautier, 2006). Since research requires complex thinking skills, considering a learning framework, it is necessary to think about the competencies that a researcher needs to develop in order to achieve a research goal”.Tesis de licenciatura Students’ perceptions about the use of Role Playing as a strategy to speak in an EFL 3rd grade class at a public junior high school(Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, 2022-11) Pluma Cervantes, Angélica"This thesis project was conducted to investigate “Students’ perceptions about the use of Role Playing as a strategy to speak in an EFL 3rd grade class at a public junior high school” The aim of this study was to explore students’ perceptions about the usefulness of role-playing to speak in a third-grade English Foreign Language group at a public junior high school. This research was developed through a qualitative approach. Specifically, this study was 25 third-grade students from group ‘A’ from a public junior high school “Tecnica 54 “from San Miguel Contla Tlaxcala. The participants were eleven girls and fourteen boys between fourteen and fifteen years of age. Participants had to share their perceptions about the role-play technique in their English class".Tesis de licenciatura The influence of the L2 in the acquisition of the L3(2015-12) Hernández Ramos, María Fernanda; FLORES SALGADO, ELIZABETH; 250821“The first language (L1) has been considered one of the main sources of transfer for the acquisition of a second language or third for a long time (Blum-Kulka, 1982; Koike, 1995). Transfer is defined by Ellis (2003) as the influence of the first language over the acquisition of a second language (L2). Using a more neutral concept, Brown (2007) describes it as the carryover of previous performance or knowledge to subsequent learning. This influence can be positive or negative. Positive transfer occurs when previous knowledge can facilitate the acquisition of the L2, that is, when previous structures are correctly applied to present structures in the L2. On the other hand, negative transfer also referred to as interference, takes place when previous knowledge disrupts the performance of a second task (Brown, 2007). However, recently studies (Angelovska and Hahn, 2012; Clevedon, 2000, 2001; Cenoz, and Hammarberg, 1998) have shown that in the case of third language (L3) learners, the influence of their L2 plays an important role in the acquisition of other foreign languages. The purpose of this study is to analyze the negative transfer of the second language (L2) English in the third language”Tesis de licenciatura El uso de cuentos audiovisuales con transcripción como material para el desarrollo de la comprensión lectora en clases de ELE, A1(Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, 2018-06) Muñoz Mata, Sandra Guadalupe; JUAREZ PACHECO, SANDRA; 543902"Esta tesis está enfocada en el aprendizaje del idioma español ELE, A1 para extranjeros por medio del uso de cuentos audiovisuales con transcripción como herramienta principal para el desarrollo de la comprensión lectora.
