Artículo Electrochemistry of [Ru(bpy)3] 2+ and [Ru(phen)3] 2+ inserted in Nafion membranes studied in the ionic liquid HMImPF6(2020-10-31) Aguilar Sánchez, Rocío; Gálvez Vázquez, María de Jesús; Gárate Morales, Jose Luis; Cerna Cortéz, Jorge Raúl; Aguilar Sánchez, Rocío; 0000-0001-5230-7002; Gálvez Vázquez, María de Jesús; 0000-0002-0416-6556"The electrochemical properties of tris (2,2´- bipyridine)ruthenium (II) dichloride ([Ru(bpy)3] 2+), and tris(1,10-phenantroline)ruthenium (II) dichloride ([Ru(phen)3] 2+) complexes inserted in Nafion membranes were studied in the ionic liquid (IL) 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (HMImPF6). The wide potential window provided by the IL, allows for the study of the redox properties without using organic solvents. The voltammetric patterns revealed reversible reduction waves for bpy and phen ligands and for the oxidation signal of Ru (II)/ Ru (III) similar to those observed in aqueous and organic solvents".Artículo Porphyrin Supramolecular Arrays Formed by Weakly Interacting Meso-Functional Groups on Au(111)(2019-09-12) Sánchez Muñoz, Esteban; Gárate Morales, José L.; Sandoval Lira, Jacinto; Hernández Pérez, Julio M.; Aguilar Sánchez, Rocío; Sandoval Lira, Jacinto; 0000-0003-4153-6939; Hernández Pérez, Julio M.; 0000-0002-1178-2146; Aguilar Sánchez, Rocío; 0000-0001-5230-7002"The formation of a binary porphyrinic self-assembled system between meso-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl) porphyrin (TCPP) and meso-tetrakis(4-dimethyl amino) porphyrin (TDAP) was easily designed through non-covalent interactions in solution and adsorbed on a gold substrate. It was found that non-covalent interactions and geometrical conformations between porphyrins allow their self-assembly into a well-defined arrangement, which was confirmed by UV-Vis spectroscopy, electrochemistry, atomic force microscopy and density functional theory (DFT) studies".Artículo Structural, physical, and antifungal characterization of starch edible films added with nanocomposites and mexican oregano (lippia berlandieri schauer) essential oil(2019-06-25) Aguilar Sánchez, Rocío; Munguía Pérez, Ricardo; Reyes Jurado, Fátima; Navarro Cruz, Addí Rhode; Cid Pérez, Teresa Soledad; Hernández Carranza, Paola; Beristain Bauza, Silvia del Carmen; Ochoa Velasco, Carlos Enrique; Ávila Sosa, Raúl; Aguilar Sánchez, Rocío; 0000-0001-5230-7002; Munguía Pérez, Ricardo; 0000-0002-9131-0092; Reyes Jurado, Fátima; 0000-0003-3227-8739; Navarro Cruz, Addí Rhode; 0000-0002-9406-611X; Hernández Carranza, Paola; 0000-0003-2572-354X; Beristain Bauza, Silvia del Carmen; 0000-0003-3412-8806; Ochoa Velasco, Carlos Enrique; 0000-0002-9624-6616; Ávila Sosa, Raúl; 0000-0001-7721-0135"The aim of this study was to evaluate the structural, physical, and antifungal characteristics of starch edible films added with nanocomposites and Mexican oregano (Lippia berlandieri Schauer) essential oil (EO). Starch edible films were formulated with Mexican oregano EO (0%, 1%, or 2% v/v) and bentonite or halloysite (2%). Physical properties such as L* (luminosity), hue, film thickness, and O2 and CO2 permeability were determined. Structural analysis was carried out via atomic force microscopy (AFM). Antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger, Fusarium spp., and Rhizopus spp. was evaluated".
